Classic (RSK) Heavy-duty, fast-cutting chain for use by those with extraordinary cutting needs and specialized training in dealing with kickback situations. This chain is particularly suitable for felling and bucking big timber with guide bars over 20". |
Rapid Micro™ 2 (RM2) RM2 has triple humped tie strap and lower kickback tendencies. It meets ANSI B175.1. Ideal for use on farms, in forests and on construction sites. Cutter shape reduces friction, allowing for a higher cutting speed with greater efficiency in any type of wood. Good, stay-sharp characteristics. Rapid Micro™ (RM) is also available but has higher kickback tendencies. |
Rapid Super (RS) - heavy-duty, fast-cutting chain for use by those with extraordinary cutting needs and specialized training in dealing with kickback situations. Square cornered cutter shape provides minimum chain friction for an extremely smooth, clean cut in hard and frozen wood. Best suited for high powered chain saws. Also available in "L" version (square ground) and in semi-skip or full-skip versions. |
Rapid Duro Special (RDS) carbide chain - the special chain for the toughest conditions. Offers increased durability and efficiency with superb stay-sharp characteristics in dirty treated wood. Specially designed to meet demanding cutting needs of the professional. Under the toughest cutting conditions, the Rapid Duro still achieves a service life that is roughly ten times longer than conventional saw chain, with virtually constant cutting performance.

The
Picco Micro™ 1 with triple-humped tie straps has been specially
developed for use on small chain saws. Smooth running with low kickback
tendencies. Picco Micro™ Narrow is Stihl's first-ever narrow kerf chain... .21" (5.4mm) vs. .25" (6.4mm) for the Picco-Micro™. Used with the new Picco Mini 12" or 14" guide bars. Produces less vibration. Meets ANSI B175.1. |
Guide Bars
| Heavy-duty Stihl guide bars range from 12" to
47" in length and are equipped with Stihl's exclusive Ematic™ lubrication
system. Stihl guide bars are available in two basic versions: Rollomatic Ematic™ bars | Duromatic Ematic™ bars Stihl Rollomatic Ematic™ Super bars have a replaceable sprocket nose at the end of the bar which guides the saw chain from the top of the bar to the bottom, minimizing power losses due to friction. They are available with various size sprocket noses. All have induction-hardened rails for long life. Bars with a relatively small radius reduce kickback
and are recommended for amateur and occasional users. They are labeled with
a green dot. Those with larger radius are designed for professional users
with extraordinary needs, as they permit a higher plunge-cutting performance
and longer service life. These are labeled with a yellow dot.
